Enormous tidewater glacier out of Seward Alaska

Announcing Our New Location in Seward, Alaska!

Seward Flightseeing Tour

Hello, Seward! We are excited to start offering tours from our newest location this spring! Daily glacier dog sledding, flightseeing, and charters will begin May 15th, and run through the end of summer. Alpine Air has been flying in Alaska for 29 years, and we love sharing the beauty of our backyard with new friends from around the world. We can’t wait to begin operating in Seward.

About Seward

Seward is two hours south of Anchorage by car, at the head of Resurrection Bay on the stunning Kenai Peninsula. Nearly 40 glaciers flow down from the nearby Harding Icefield. This is an area of unique coastal beauty and abundant glacier access.

Seward Flightseeing

Flightseeing tours from here offer dramatic coastline views, marine wildlife sightings, and a chance to experience enormous tidewater glaciers, like Bear Glacier and Aialik Glacier. We offer seven daily flightseeing tours from Seward from May 15 – September 16th. Choose a 30-Minute, 45-Minute or 1-Hour tour, and add an optional landing to any flight.

Seward Dog Sledding

Glacier dog sledding tours from Seward are available from May 15 – August 31. We partner with Seavey’s Ididaride Sled Dog Tours, a company owned by mushing legend Mitch Seavey, a three-time Iditarod champion. We offer seven daily dog sledding tours – you’ll fly to a remote glacier camp to meet the mushers and the adorable Alaskan Huskies before a 1-kilometer ride on the sled. Surrounded by a backdrop of mountains and glaciers, this is an adventure you will never forget.

Ask any travel agent, and they’ll probably tell you that flightseeing and glacier dog sledding need to be at the top of your Alaska travel bucket-list. If you decide to book both tours with us, a combination we’re calling the Seward Adventure Tour, you’ll receive 10% off your two same-day, back-to-back tours. To receive your discount, tours must be booked directly with Alpine Air Alaska by phone or email so we can carefully schedule your two tours together.

Our Seward tours begin in May, but don’t wait to book! Reservations are available now. Our hangar is conveniently located on the Airport Road in Seward, and we offer a free round-trip shuttle from many locations in town. We invite local residents, independent travelers, cruise ship passengers, and Alaska Railroad guests to come see us!
