For the second year in a row, nonprofit Gulf of Alaska Keeper has chosen Alpine Air Alaska to help with their incredible mission of cleaning up ocean debris. If you don't know of GoAK, please take a few moments to learn about this fantastic group of people who strive to keep the Prince William Sound beautiful.
As you will see, the tsunami in Japan five years ago flooded The Sound with millions of tons of debris which is still washing up on its shores. This link will take you to a short documentary which highlights some of the work GoAK does each summer, including shots of our Robinson R44s slinging to the barge: Cleaning Marine Debris from Alaska's Beaches
We are honored to continue to work GoAK for another year to keep Prince William Sound as debris-free as possible.
